Raised bed gardening and how you can excel at gardening, this year we had a great year for our garden and as you can see in the video below, we had help, from two places, one was prayer, yes, it works, and two, raised bed gardening.

Gardening is not that hard, but being consistent is and can be difficult, to stay ahead of all the pests, and the disease that can effect your crop.

This year we sprayed, and sprayed, used four different anti fungal, treatments, but we still in the end lost most of the tomato plants to a very specific blight, it would effect mostly the support branches, but would also infect the flowing branches too.

But still gardening is a year round sport, I know that may sound funny, but literally you have to do things, year round, like right now I am doing liquid composting, and recycling plants and vegetation,

Growing great big huge tomato vines.

Ok this might seem like its impossible but I assure you it is not, in fact I will show you proof, in just a few minutes.

But first lets talk about a few things that you can do for your garden that will help you improve both your gardening skills and the methods you use to grow your garden.

Did you know that gardening is a year long job?

Most people do not realize that in order to grow that 7 foot tall tomato plant that there is actually a process that has to be followed.

1. Preparing the soil for planting.
2. Fertilizing, the soil
3. Planting.
4. Watering.
5. Weeding
6. Aerating
7. Pest control
8. Spraying
9. Fighting Disease.
10. Knowing when to harvest.

These are all topics that you need to know well, in order to take maximum advantage of your garden, of course there are more, topics, and we will attempt to cover them over time, but for now lets, just talk about how you keep up with your garden, and that is one of the most difficult things is how to keep up with the upkeep.

Keeping ahead of the weeds, keeping up with the process of caring for your garden, because if you let it weeds will take over your garden fast, in fact, just turn you head for a day or two, and you will be in for a fight.

The most important thing is that you get the job done and it does not have to be all at once, if you are like many people you may not be a spring chicken any more, and you will have to pace yourself.

Keeping up with all the needs you may have when you choose to create a garden, basically a grocery store right in your own back yard, and yes it is nice.
